For anyone who has not yet seen the link at the right, check out the popular reviews I've posted on TV.com. Many of them have positive feedback from readers. These are the best ones I've written, posted below.

Review Of Veronica Mars TV Show

Clue In Donut!

“You wanna know how I lost my virginity? So do I,” says Veronica Mars candidly in the pilot episode. And, so does everyone else. Not to mention, we’d also like to know the answer to that other little problem: who killed her best friend. What? You don’t find yourself asking these same questions? Where the heck have you been?

Veronica Mars is the story about a young high school girl who has gone through a heck of a lot more than most people go through in their entire lives. Set in the seemingly peaceful California town of Neptune, we follow Veronica every week solving mysteries and trying to figure out those two big hanging questions previously mentioned.

It must be mentioned (again), the show is relatable to “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” We have our heroine, mysteries to solve, people to help, and crisp dialogue to fire off. On the other hand, Veronica is not fighting the forces of evil, like vampires, but rather the evil forces of her peers and sometimes authority figures.

Kristen Bell plays Veronica perfectly. Enough said. Let’s move on.

The rest of the above-par cast is also worth a mention. While some don’t seem to shine quite as bright as the lead, they do well enough to keep the atmosphere right where it should be. In other words, they don’t stick out like a sore thumb. Highlights of the cast include Enrico Colantoni, as Veronica’s single father Keith, and Jason Dohring playing Logan Echolls.

Besides the cast, the show is very well written. I wrote a previous review but had to update it upon watching this summer’s repeats. In the previous review, I had vented about not always being able to follow the plot lines. Sometimes I felt like the writers had far too much going on. Upon watching several episodes a second time, I realized that they really knew exactly what they were doing. They knew who the characters were and what was going on. I just wish that there might be a little less variety of secondary characters. Want to know what I’m talking about? Just go to MarsInvestigations.net and click the characters link; I’m sure you’ll understand my frustration.

What I wish I understood was why people don’t give the series a shot. I did my part and found at least two or three potential viewers this summer. Hopefully, I wasn’t the only one to succeed.

Veronica Mars is an excellent show and by far my current favorite on television. Start watching it now. Then you can ask people, where the heck have you been?

Review Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV Show

I’m going to get right to the point: Buffy is an orgy of sharp television.

Alright, get over it. “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” could not be a cheesier title. Heck, it kept me from watching the show for the longest time.

What happened you might ask? It all began with a friend who mutually loved Alias. She was always a big fan of Buffy, so I thought that I’d give in and let the show have a few hours of my life. It was an event of titanic proportions and I just sunk deeper into the world created by Joss Whedon.

Let me start where I began my Buffy journey. That big night in April last year when I tuned into the forth season with “The Initiative” was a decent place to start. Riley was just being introduced and four episodes later was the incredible “Hush.” The mediocre fourth season got me into the show and held me into the next season.

The fifth season was and still is the best of all seven. “The Body” is the single best use of television as an art form. I nearly cried the entire hour. This season also introduced Glory. She was the ideal evil power, she was entirely scary and yet entirely human. The buildup to the climax of the season was the BEST ever on television, hands down. It could have easily ended right there and everyone would have been happy (and according to Joss, he wanted it to seem like the series finale).

But the series still had more stories to tell. Including an entirely musical episode that was able to come off well. The sixth season also brought about a darker tone as the “scooby gang” began to separate from each other. Willow became the big bad of the season and the show had another great climax with Xander’s yellow crayon speech.

Season seven had some good episodes but lacked air time for its main characters. As the final season, I would have much rather had more stories about the main group than the slayerettes that came to town.

As I continued watching the show at a feverish pace (about 5-10 episodes a week), season one began. While it is the weakest season, it provided the background and experimenting that was needed to make future seasons great.

Seasons two and three got better and saw an unexpected bad guy in one of the main cast. The music at the end of the second season, composed by Christophre Beck is also some of the most powerful music ever (as is his composed music for the end of “The Gift”). Season three was not my favorite overall, but had many solid stand-alone episodes that I really enjoyed.

After coming full circle to when Oz leaves Sunnydale, I was extremely satisfied that I had spent a couple hours about eight months ago on a show that really didn’t seem that interesting to me.

In short, the acting, the writing, the show, even the little Mutant Enemy Mummy Guy at the end is all awesome. Take the show for a four episode test run. Just know that you will embark on an epic journey that you won’t soon forget. I could keep going on forever with this review, but don’t you have some of your own hesitations to slay?

Review Of Alias TV Show

Alias changes personality, doesn't fit disguise.

Rambaldi, SD-6, the Covenant, 47, CIA, K-Directorate, Project Christmas, the Alliance, doubles, the Prophecy, the Man, Khasinau, Laura Bristow, Sark, Sloane, and that was only the first two seasons. Alias, the high-tech, big fight, hot costume show on ABC has now finished its fourth season. Unfortunately the plots and detail that could be named in a long list from past years could be summed up in one short sentence this year. It sucks.

What made it good? The amount of detail, plots, and subplots made the show very unique and wonderfully interesting to watch. The episodes were told in a “to be continued” fashion every week. Viewers were always left wondering if the main character, Sydney Bristow, would survive until next week. At one point, Sydney had fallen from a ladder in a deep cavern. We were left wondering how she survived the fall until the next episode. Fortunately her fall was slowed by an outcropping branch and we got to see another hour of her undercover life.

Sydney was a double agent working with the CIA and trying to bring down the crime infested SD-6. She was constantly pretending to like her SD-6 boss Sloane, who had her fiancé killed. Sloane was part of the Alliance, a group responsible for terrorist training and black market weapons trade. But after a year and a half, some intelligence fell into their laps which allowed Sydney to finally bring down SD-6. At this point the show made a drastic turn.

Gone was the major premise of Alias. No longer was it about Sydney trying to take down SD-6, it was about her trying to deal with her “thought to be dead, but is actually alive and evil” mother. After years of thinking she was dead, Laura Bristow turned herself in to the CIA. This actually went extremely well for the rest of the season. The chemistry between Sydney and Laura was some of the best on television today. Lena Olin, who played Laura, was outstanding in portraying her character. We never really knew whether or not she was trying to change, or whether she was just putting on a disguise.

Once she left at the end of season two, the show really started to break apart. Season three was decent, but not up to the high expectations of the past. The plot lines were different; the characters had changed and moved on in different ways. Things were not the same. Then there was a huge break between the end of season three and the start of season four. Fans waited an extra four months before Alias returned.

When it did, everything was shaken up again. Granted, the changes were made to boost low ratings, but they were not very welcome to long time fans. The long arc type of episode was simplified so that each episode was self-contained. Another reason that the show turned sour was because they lost the complicated storylines. No longer was the show about deception and personal relationships, it was about a hot girl wearing many costumes and going on quick, semi-dangerous missions. This new format did bring in new viewers, as did its new time slot behind a brand new show called Lost, created by J.J. Abrams, the same person behind Alias.

The problem is that show is no longer the same and it’s heading into deep water. There are no big plot twists, no depth to the stories, and no emotion in the characters. The amount of detail and intrigue that first stirred up a cult like following is no longer found. Now it will be sent to the 8 pm Thursday night “timeslot-of-death.” But the thing is, I no longer care. No matter what happens with the new timeslot, if Alias does not change back to its old ways soon, consider this viewer disavowed.

Goodbye & hello to you...

I've finally decided to end my radio station. Revitalized Radio will end its two year run Sept. 16th and a new station will take its place. Veronica Mars Radio will begin airing that night. There is a new link at the right. I decided that it was time to do something new and because I was losing interest in Revitalized Radio, I decided it would be different and more fun doing a station like VMars Radio. Check it out!

Pretty sunset...

Another one.

Hot pink...

Try these on for size. There was a cool pink color one night. I grabbed my camera.
